About the designer:
Architect and modernist Flemming Lassen (1902–1984) played an important role in introducing functionalism to Denmark.
After his time at boarding school, where he became friends with Arne Jacobsen and his brother Mogens Lassen, the close bond between them continued – both privately and later as colleagues in the design world.
Today, Flemming Lassen is best known for his opulently designed furniture: inviting armchairs and chairs that have gained recognition all over the world. His signature style – soft, sculptural and incredibly comfortable – is now affectionately referred to as the Flemming Lassen style.
