About designer Hee Welling

Danish designer Hee Welling is known for his understated, functional designs in which comfort, proportions, and Scandinavian simplicity take center stage. He founded his own design studio in Copenhagen in 2003 and has since worked on internationally successful furniture collections. For HAY, Welling designed, among others, the now iconic About A Chair collection. His designs are characterized by clean lines, carefully selected materials, and a timeless appearance. The AAC 123 is an excellent example of this: comfortable enough for daily use and refined enough to retain a prominent place in the interior for years to come.
