The Fan stool is a design by the English designer Tom Dixon.
This British company successfully works in various disciplines and creates concepts for hotels, restaurants and events, as well as desirable luxury furniture and lighting. The label was founded in 2002 by British designer Tom Dixon, who without formal training became one of the stars of the interior design of the 80s and 90s and made several groundbreaking and high-profile creations.
Much of this celebrated designer's work is clearly progressive, based on the latest industrial techniques. The Fan Stool stands out in that it looks back, inspired by the traditional Windsor chair. Chairs of this kind are made from a combination of twisted and curved wood, including the Fan Stool.
The so-called "plinth base", with its conical shape and round edge, shows these traditional techniques. The stool is finished with a thick, padded leather seat to ensure the comfort of the stool.
With a height of 45 cm and a diameter of 38 cm, the stool is available in natural oak or lacquered birch.
