Hay Tapis carpet

The carpet called Tapis by Hay is a design by Julie Richoz, it has a rough, natural texture that is the result of a tactile mix of jute and cotton. From a distance, Tapis resembles an ordinary jute rug, but a closer look reveals a surprising detail: the subtle, the subtle, natural color is actually a combination of red and yellow yarn. The rug has a non-slip backing for extra functionality/stabilization

About the designer:

Julie Richoz (b. 1990) is a Swiss-French designer based in Paris. She established her own studio in 2015, and her clients include brands such as Mattiazzi, Alessi, Louis Poulsen and Louis Vuitton. Richoz has graduated from ECAL (University of Art and Design Lausanne) and has been teaching there design since 2017.
