Björn Dahlström is an internationally recognized designer who was born in 1957 in Stockholm, Sweden.
His work is an important driver for Scandinavian design. Dahlström designed, among other things, valued furniture for Cbi, David Design, SMD, but also industrial design for Atlas Copco, for example. He works in Stockholm and has established himself internationally over the years. In 2001 he received the Torsten and Wanja Söhderberg design prize, one of the most prestigious Scandinavian design prizes.
With regard to the furniture he designed, the Superstructure chair, a modern and innovative chair that is also represented in the permanent design collection of the National Museum of Stockholm, is worth mentioning. Björn Dahlström has received various awards for his designs and his works are represented in various museums worldwide, including the National Museum in Stockholm, Sweden's most important art and design museum, the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo and Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
