Flos Parentesi Lamp.
The Italian designer Achille Castiglioni enjoyed a long-standing collaboration with the Italian Flos. Many of his playful, innovate designs have proven to be timeless as they are still in production today, including the Parentesi Lamp. This clever lamp design paved the way for a number of later models that have imitated, but never matched, this item, which was designed in 1971 and later won the Compasso d'Oro.
The floor lamp has a fully adjustable spotlight, that can be directed at one area, such as a painting, or moved around when needed for reading or tasks such as knitting. The light also features a dimmer so that you can adjust brightness accordingly. The spotlight itself is clipped on to a slim metal stand, which is 58cm in height.
This versatile lamp is a fine example of early industrial chic with its exposed bulb and metal/plastic construction. This light requires one E27/150W bulb.
