The Vitra Hal Ply bar stool was created by Jasper Morrison for leading Swiss furniture company Vitra.

The Hal Ply bar stool consists of a durable stainless steel frame with a lightweight natural wood seat that is perfectly shaped to provide good lower back support and comfort for extended use, it is adjustable in height and has a comfortable footrest.

The shape of the shell offers great freedom of movement and posture, even allowing the user to sit sideways or astride.

chassis:
powder coated in basic dark,
steel base plate covered with chrome.
seat: light oak, dark oak or black treated walnut.
It is also possible with upholstered seat.

About the designer:

Jasper Morrison lives and works in London and Tokyo. His designs express the "supernormal" design philosophy and do not seek out unusual, unusual results. He often breathes new life into proven solutions by re-interpreting, developing and refining them. He has been working regularly with Vitra since 1989.
