The AAC 121 chair is a further addition to the Hay AAC collection / about a chair by designer Hee Welling for the Danish label Hay. This beautiful and timeless chair is a real asset to the existing AAC collection with its higher backrest for even more comfort and support and the seat has also been made wider. Unlike its predecessors, this new chair can only be upholstered, but then you also have your dream chair in the most beautiful fabrics. Under the upholstery of the chair, the shell cover contains several layers of foam and cotton wool.

The AAC 121 soft duo offers the possibility to combine 2 fabrics, one fabric for the front and the other for the back.

The base of the chair is available in high-gloss chrome aluminum, the legs of the chair are slightly angled outwards for a more solid base.

The dimensions of the chair are: 62 centimeters wide, 59.5 centimeters deep and 86 centimeters high. The seat height is 47.5 centimeters and the depth 45 centimeters.

About Hee Welling:

Hee Welling is a Danish furniture designer who founded his own studio in Copenhagen in 2003. Welling has received a number of design awards, including the Bo Bedre Award (Denmark), Good Design Award (USA) and has been nominated as the Danish designer of the year in both 2013 and 2014. Welling is the son of a cabinetmaker, and his fascination with production techniques, materials and machinery was fired as a child.

He went on to study at The University of Art and Design in Helsinki, and received his master’s degree in furniture design from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (where he is also now a design tutor). His design ethos is centred around the idea of creating technically accomplished products that can reach a wide audience. His work is characterised by a great sense of proportion and quietly elegant looks.
